Emily & Spencer’s Wedding at Chequesset Club
This was an extra special celebration…it was my little sister’s wedding day! Emily and Spencer got married September 18, 2021 at Chequessett Club in Wellfleet, MA, and what a beautiful day it was! They really wanted a modern, beachy-boho look and feel. We talked through a lot of their ideas and we truly had so much fun throughout the design process.
After we established a color palette, we got to work. They wanted something a little different than your normal 5x7 invitation. We went with a larger square-shaped invitation to give it a modern look and feel. Emily had selected mauve/sepia as accent colors, so we decided to make the reply cards a sepia tone to add a pop of color.
The couple also wanted to add some embellishments and we ultimately decided that vellum jackets added a simple modern touch and the natural twine helped carry the boho aesthetic throughout the suite. The gold wax seals were just the cherry on top!
Once the invitations were completed, we got to work on the day-of items! Emily had found a cute display rack she wanted to use to display their seating chart. We used small cards to break out seating arrangements by table using the same sepia color we used in the invitations.
We also decided to keep the table numbers themselves simple and classic. Again using the same sepia color we used in the invitation suite, they were absolutely perfect against the beautiful florals and greenery arrangements on their tables.
Lastly, we wanted to honor the special people who could only be there in spirit with this beautiful remembrance table and sign.
The entire evening was just stunning. A huge congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor! Your wedding was beyond beautiful and you are so loved.
